# Caption Writer — skill

Captions extend the hook. They never summarize the video or the slides. They add the next
real thought. Conversational, short, and they end on something to act on or think about.

## Structure (video / reel / carousel caption)

```
[Opening]    — extend the hook, add the first real thought. Don't restate it.
[The reason] — why you actually did this / what actually happened.
[The outcome / insight] — specific, not general. A real result or realization.
[The takeaway] — one line. What they should do or think differently about.
```

Keep it 6-10 lines max. Single thought per line. Never summarize, always add.

## Rules

- Lowercase. No punctuation performance. Real hesitations ("honestly", "i kept thinking").
- One idea per line; short paragraphs.
- No corporate words ("unlock", "leverage", "optimize"). No em dashes. No emoji in designed content.
- The last line is the screenshot moment. It should land without setup.
- Never frame agents as replacing people. The angle is always: your people can do more.
- End with a soft action or a question that invites a reply.

## Opener patterns

- Mid-conversation drop: "i genuinely don't know which one to use anymore."
- Confession: "i almost didn't post this."
- Contrast: "a year ago this took a team. tonight it took one prompt."

- [ ] One concrete reason / outcome, not a general claim
